ORDER POLICY

 1. All Sales Final:

 

All orders placed with our cake business are considered final sale. Once an order has been confirmed and payment has been made, it cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged, except as specified in this policy or as required by applicable law.

 

2. Confirmation and Payment:

 

Placing an order requires completing the order form, receiving a quote, and submitting payment. Your order is only considered confirmed upon receipt of payment. We will commence work on your order immediately upon payment.

 

3. Order Inquiries:

 

All inquiries related to orders must be submitted through our designated order form. We communicate primarily through email and do not accept order inquiries or modifications via direct messages (DMs) or other communication channels.

 

4. Design Issues:

 

If you encounter any design issues with your order, it is essential to notify us within 1 hour of receiving or picking it up. After this timeframe, the order will be considered your responsibility, and we will not be liable for any design-related concerns.

 

5. Lead Time for Custom Cakes:

 

To ensure adequate preparation time, all custom cake orders must be placed at least 2 WEEKS in advance of the desired date. Orders for other treats and cupcakes should be placed at least 1 week prior to the required date. Orders placed outside these timeframes will be subject to rush order fees as outlined below.

 

6. Rush Orders:

 

Rush orders refer to cake orders with less than 2 weeks' notice or treat and cupcake orders with less than 1 week's notice. These orders require expedited processing to meet the desired date. Rush order requests are subject to availability, and additional fees will apply to compensate for the accelerated production schedule.

ORDER PICKUP AND DELIVERY POLICY

 

1. Pickup Option:

 

Pickup is available for all orders. The exact location for pickup will be provided to you after payment confirmation. Please note that the pickup location may differ depending on the specific circumstances.

 

2. Delivery Services:

 

We offer two types of delivery services:

 

a. Personal Delivery: We may provide personal delivery based on availability. Our representative will personally deliver the order to the specified location. However, please note that personal delivery is subject to our availability and may not always be feasible.

 

b. Uber Connect: Alternatively, you have the option to choose Uber Connect for delivery. Please ensure that you select Uber Connect specifically. We will place the order in the car, and you will be able to track the delivery through the Uber app. It is important to note that you are responsible for arranging and selecting Uber Connect for the delivery. Regular Uber services should not be used, as the driver will not pick up the cake under such circumstances.

 

3. Lead Time for Orders:

 

To ensure adequate preparation time, all custom cake orders should be placed at least 2 WEEKS prior to the desired date. For other treats and cupcakes, orders should be placed at least 1 week prior to the required date. Orders placed outside these timeframes may be subject to rush order fees as outlined below.

 

4. Rush Order Fees:

 

Orders placed with less than the recommended lead time specified above may be subject to rush order fees. These fees will cover the additional resources and expedited processing required to fulfill the order within the requested timeframe. The exact amount of the rush order fees will be communicated to you upon order confirmation.

 

5. Order Pickup Guidelines:

 

When picking up your order, please adhere to the following guidelines:

 

a. Car Space: Ensure that you have sufficient space in your car to accommodate the cake. Cakes must be placed on a level surface, such as the floor of the vehicle. Please refrain from placing them on seats or holding them in your hands.

 

b. Trunk Placement: Avoid placing the cake in the trunk, as this may subject it to potential damage during transportation. The levelled surface inside the car is the preferred location.

 

c. Temperature Consideration: Make sure that the interior of your car is not excessively hot to prevent any potential melting or damage to the cake during transit. Take appropriate measures to maintain a suitable temperature within your vehicle.

PAYMENT, RUSH ORDER, CANCELLATION, AND DELIVERY POLICY

 

1. Payment Methods:

 

a. Interac: Payments for orders are primarily made through Interac, which provides a secure and convenient payment option.

 

b. PayPal: For international orders, PayPal is available as an alternative payment method. Please note that there is an additional PayPal business fee associated with this option.

 

2. Full Payment and Deposits:

 

Full payment is required to place an order, and we do not accept multiple payments or deposits for the same order. The entire payment must be made upfront.

 

3. Rush Order Fees:

 

a. Cake Orders: Rush order fees for cakes start at $20, subject to increase based on the proximity to the due date and product availability.

 

b. Other Treats: Rush order fees for other treats start at $10, subject to increase based on the proximity to the due date and product availability.

 

4. Waiving of Rush Order Fees:

 

Rush order fees may be waived at the discretion of Nuo Cake Bar's team based on factors such as the complexity of the order and product availability. This decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.

 

5. Itemized Receipt:

 

We do not provide itemized receipts as a standard practice. However, upon request, we can provide an invoice or estimate that outlines the order details and corresponding costs.

 

6. Cancellations and Refunds:

 

a. Refund Calculation: In cases of cancellations, refunds will be determined based on the proximity to the due date and the amount of work invested in the order. Refunds will be processed for the portion of the payment corresponding to the work not yet completed.

 

b. Banking Fee Deduction: A banking fee of $1.25 is attached to every transaction. If a refund is issued, $2.50 will be deducted from the refund amount to cover the banking fees for both the initial payment and the refund transaction.

 

7. Delivery Prices:

 

Delivery prices are calculated based on the exact location and are determined by the distance in kilometers from the pick-up address. The specific delivery price will be communicated to you upon order confirmation, considering the delivery distance

CAKE HANDLING AND STORAGE GUIDELINES

 

1. Proper Handling:

 

When carrying cakes and products, always support them from the bottom of the box or container. This ensures stability and helps prevent any damage or accidents during transportation.

 

2. Secure Transport:

 

To ensure the safety of your cake during transport, avoid sudden stops or harsh braking. It is important to handle the cake with care to prevent any shifting or damage. Place the cake on a level surface in the vehicle and ensure it remains stable throughout the journey. Additionally, store the cake in a cool and dry place to maintain its integrity.

 

3. Refrigeration and Thawing:

 

Unless otherwise stated, it is recommended to refrigerate cakes and treats. This helps preserve freshness and quality. When serving, remove the cake from the refrigerator 10-15 minutes prior to serving to allow it to reach room temperature. This slight thawing period enhances the texture and taste of the cake.

 

4. Storage Duration:

 

Baked products, including cakes and treats, can be kept in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Alternatively, for longer-term storage, they can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months. Proper packaging and sealing are essential for maintaining the quality of the products during freezer storage.
